Help kids celebrate, feel encouraged and rewarded for their
successes on the golf course in 2008.
For the second year in a row, Kyle Lograsso - the gifted 6 year old with a passion for golf who lost his left eye to cancer in 2004 -
is providing you with an opportunity to make every par-or-better hole
scored by your kids count towards something truly memorable and meaningful
Kyle through his "Kids Helping Kids - Kyle Lograsso Golf-a-thon Challenge" is providing you with the opportunity
to pledge money, based on your child's golf successes, to be used in
our fight to find a cure for several life-threatening illnesses affecting our children
All kids 4 to 18 years old are invited to accept Kyle's challenge.
This year, the kids participating in The Kyle Lograsso Golf-a-thon Challenge will be playing for
the The Eye Tumor Research Foundation,
Childrens Hospital Of Philadelphia
and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
This year's goals include raising more than $5,000 for charity by December 31 and having a great time doing it!

Track and rank your child's golf game.
The Kyle Lograsso Golf-a-thon Challenge uses the GolfChamp Databank which also tracks your child's golf performances, on several organized junior golf tours (e.g.,
U.S. Kids Golf Tour, The First Tour
and The Philadelphia PGA Junior Tour)
for each hole played. GolfChamp provides tools to track their performance on tee shots, approach shots, and putting. This service can show
your child's progress and areas for improvement for either each round or from year to year.
A great benefit for those children looking for scholarships or a leg up on improving their games.
The GolfChamp golf databank service answers such questions as:
- How does your child’s game compare to others of similar age and golf ability?
- How is your child performing on Par 3’s, 4’s, 5’s?
- Should your child focus on improving putting, approaches, or tee shots?
- What are his/her strengths? Areas to Improve? ... and a whole lot more !!
All tracking, calculations and ranking of individual and team golf performances and pledges
is done by the GolfChamp Databank - a private golfer's databank with a yearly membership fee.
The membership for juniors this year is $15 which is only 37% of the normal $40 yearly membership fee.!
To allow all kids to enjoy friendly competition, GolfChamp has divided the world
into 23 competitive regions based on each kid's postal code or country of residence.
Eleven (11) of these regions are in North America and with Kyle's
dad being a proud marine, we have created a separate region for the US Armed Forces. Each kid will be playing for his/her Region, Country, County and Age group.
Each player will be able to see how he/she ranks in his/her age group, gender and region as compared to others of similar Golf Ability Range (GAR)
Prizes/Awards That Participants Can Win
Up to 504 kids in 84 different categories could qualify for the 2009 Kyle Lograsso Invitational.
- GolfChamp calculates a Golf Ability Range (GAR) for each kid. Invitees in each GAR are:
- GARs-Low 70s: Top 3 males and top 3 females based on age and total of best 4 points scores
- GARs-High 70s: Top 3 males and top 3 females based on age and total of best 4 points scores

Benefiting Charities and Partner Organizations
The Lograsso Family could not be more thrilled about this "kids helping kid's" concept!
We feel now that Kyle has overcome his battle with cancer and we must do all we can to give
back to the organizations that saved his life! It is because of the research conducted
at the Eye Tumor Research Foundation and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia that Kyle's life
was spared. Our family also spent some time at the Ronald McDonald house in Philadelphia and
that is an amazing place! Thank you so much for joining in our fight to reach the Lograsso Family
goal of one day finding a cure. That day may not even be in our lifetime but we feel it is important
to take advantage of opportunities in our lifetime that better the lives of others.
The Eye Tumor Research Foundation
The Eye Tumor Research Foundation is a foundation devoted to research in eye cancers
and eye tumors in an effort to win the struggle for life and sight. The ultimate goal
of the Foundation is to improve patient care by improving methods of diagnosis and treatment
of affected patients. The contributions made to the foundation are specifically for one purpose
- to provide support for research in the investigation of eye cancers and eye tumors.
This organization is based out of the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia where Kyle has
been treated from day one.
Childrens Hospital Of Philadelphia
Kyle was treated by Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and we believe it is so important
to do all we can to prevent another child from going through what Kyle did. The Children's
Foundation will benefit through this fund and aids in all pediactric oncology research.
Ronald McDonald House Charities

FAQ's
Details and FAQ regarding the 2008 Kyle Lograsso Golf-a-thon Challenge
Q: How do I raise money for my selected charities?
You earn points for each par-or-better hole that you score. You solicit pledges from peers, friends, family,
etc for each point you earn. Based on Gross Scores for each hole played, points are:
• Double Eagle = 16pts
• Eagle = 8pts
• Birdie = 4pt
• Par = 2 pt
• Net Par = 1pt
Q: Can I also pledge money per point and have friends and family sponsor
me?
A: Yes! It is a golf-a-thon. It is an opportunity to celebrate all your
pars-or-better scores and make them count towards something meaningful. We
therefore encourage you to additionally pledge for yourself and solicit as many
pledges as you can from friends, family and peers.
Q: What charity will my personal donations go to?
A: Your choice from a list of several charities. At registration, you select and notify us of your
zip/postal code. At the end of the golf-a-thon, the ParsforCharity databank will
notify you of how much you owe as well as switch you to Kyle Lograsso Website where you will be further instruction on how to proceed with your payments. You
will be mailed a receipt for tax purposes. SAP employees should also note that
WE are also diligently soliciting pledges from several corporate sponsors

A: No, players do not need to have an established handicap, everyone is
welcome to join. The Pars for Charity database will calculate for you a Golf
Ability Rating (GAR) based upon the scorecards you turn in. A GAR is very

Past Annual Golf-a-Thon Results
Over the past 5 years more than 163,000 holes of golf
have been played by Greater Delaware Valley golfers with charitable contributions in
excess of $112,000!
2007: Parents of kids, 4-12 years old, playing on the 2007 U.S. Kids Philadelphia North and South Golf tour
donated over $2,000 to the Eye Tumor Research Foundation. One kid who was having a very bad golf day
finally made a birdie on his last hole of play. He instantly loooked at his grand-dad who was caddying for him, issued a fist-pump, and said.
"See Pop-Pop - That is $4 for Kyle and tomorrow, I am going to make it $8". His Grand-dad replied instantly -
"You do that and I will make it $16. I am also sure that your Grand-ma will want to add something to the pot"
2007: For the fourth year in a row, SAP Americas provided its employees, clients
and partners with an opportunity to celebrate and enjoy competitive fun and team
camaraderie while generating $15,000 in charitable revenue for the American Red
Cross and over $10,000 to The First Tee based on the pars-or-better golf holes
played by SAP NA employees, partners and clients. A team from Global Marketing -
"The Atlanta Prime Time South" based in Atlanta, Georgia won the fund raising
title by raising over $4,000.
2006: SAP Americas celebrated it's third year of internal competitive fun and team
camaraderie by generating $19,000 in charitable revenue for the American Red
Cross based on the good golf holes played by SAP NA employees. With the Ernie's
Castaways from New York stealing the fund raising title away from the Dallas
Drivers.
2005: We surpassed our $10K objective and finished with 103.5% of goal. We also
had repeat team champions. Taylor-made golf team won the annual SAP Golf
Challenge and Dallas Drivers won the year end Championship.
2004: The total charity funds in this phenomenal first year of this event
totaled $8,500. And the Dallas Drivers started showing SAP what they had by
placing first!
