Rules

Golf is the greatest game mankind has ever created. Let’s keep it that way and in fact let’s make it better. Play and compete by the rules as set forth herein and make sure others do the same at all times. GolfChamp maintains a worldwide ranking by geography for each of its members. ParsForCharity™ using the rules of the GolfChamp Databank establishes the following:

GolfChamp Rules

1. All rounds you play and post including all tournaments must be played under the USGA Rules of Golf, modified only by official local rules as stated by the course played.
2. All scores should be entered into the dtabank but each year, at least 5 scorecards must be signed and attested by at least two GolfChamp.com members.
3. To be official, all scorecards must clearly show Golf Name and Team Number for each member on the card.
4. All official signed and attested scorecards will be posted to databank.
5. Scores then Putts in that order –S/P-can be marked on each hole for each player on the card (example score 4/Putts 2 shows as 4/2).
6. All scorecards must show course rating/slope and allocated handicap on each hole to be official.
7. All scorecards must clearly show which tees each member on the card played.
8. Only 18 hole scores played on any worldwide course that has official ratings/slope designations are accepted for posting to member’s records and databank.
9. Only courses that have official rating/slope designations will be accepted as home designated courses.
10. All scores are posted to member name and team number at member’s home course regardless where the round was played.
11. Each member is responsible for posting their scores, either entering them directly at www.GolfChamp.com or leaving them at identified team drop-off points.
12. The address of the designated home course controls the GolfChamp region that a member plays and competes in.
13. To be eligible for GolfChamp end of year prizes each member must play his/her home course at least once in each calendar year.
14. Each member must post at least five (5) official scores to his/her record to be eligible for individual and team rankings. These official rankings will be used to determine the qualifiers to regional and world championships.
15. A member can only be part of one home course and one team at any one point in time, but can change if relocated.
16. A member can only be part of one region at any point in time. Home course controls the region member plays and competes in. Region could change if relocated and new designated home course in another region.
17. Any member who joins and designates a home course that doesn’t have a minimum of twelve (12) team members will be accepted with only the course name and city. There are no team stats and rankings until team has at least twelve (12) team members. Therefore, qualifying by rankings for regional and world championships begins only with a minimum of twelve (12) on a team at any home course.
18. Databank calculations and rankings are completed by Wednesday of each week throughout the year.
19. Undeterminable tiebreakers for last ranking qualifier in any region shall play off for last qualifying spot.
20. All members will play, compete and be ranked using a same formula for data and statistics, which allows even 36 handicappers to be competitive on a fair and equitable manner.
21. Maximum number of rounds that can be posted to any one member in a calendar year is 100.
22. There is no limitation on age, gender or handicap level. All golfers are welcome.
23. Rankings and statistics will be done in six Golf Ability handicap ranges. (GolfPros), (Low70s), (High70s), (Low80s), (High80s), (90s), (Over100s).

Teams must have a minimum of twenty (12) members and a maximum of (24) and can be coached by a PGA Professional, instructor of golf or coach. All members must be part of a home course team.

• Teams are ranked against all other teams in that region.
• Team ranking is based on its average over quota scores from the best four (4) rounds from each of its top twelve (12) members. The average net scores on Par 3’s, Par 4’s and Par 5’s are used as tiebreakers.
• To provide equity among the scores from members of varying handicap ranges and those who played different tees on different courses, net scores and adjustments are calculated from the members’ scorecards utilizing rating/slope as shown on the scorecard at the official course played.

Leagues are groups of members who plan to play a minimum number of rounds between a specific set of dates. League members can be from different teams. There is a minimum of eight (8) members in a league and a maximum of 1000 in a league. League members can see how they rank against each other in the league but leagues are not ranked against other leagues members use leagues to track and rank their scores from multi-round golf outings/trips and to share and compare scores with friends, relatives and associates around the world. Members establish their own leagues locally, regionally, nationally and worldwide.
